Buenos dìas ! At Ôdabaïa we fell under the spell of the charming Barcelona, the city who smells as never-ending vacations…
After 3 marvellous days in Gaudì’s town, which is, by the way, one of the coolest in the entire world, we took some time to talk to you about our favourites things to do. Let’s go for a 3 days trip to Barcelona !

Barcelona, the mythical

The capital of Catalogne, located on the edge of the sea, East of Spain, Barcelona never fails to surprise. With a privileged location and a unique atmosphere, it is by definition THE vibrant destination.
In a perpetual movement, Barcelona always finds ways to reinvent itself, the perfect mix between modernity and tradition and a pinch of cutting edges fashion.

The streets flow with life and joy, attracting every year epicureans, passionates and lovers of all things good and beautiful! It is not surprising then we got tempted at Ôdabaïa… City of light, it offers an incomparable way of escaping your reality. During our trip, we liked to walk around the mythical and colourful alleys where flowers, sellers, shows, painters, musicians, and restaurants cohabitate within a joyful composition.
How much do we love this city! Its sweet lifestyle, cultural treasures, architecture… It is now time for us to share with you all those treasures 🙂

Our treasures for 3 days in Barcelona

Day 1 : Discovering local treasures

To start your trip on the right foot, we would advise you to go down Las Ramblas, the one-kilometre-long street which begins Plaça Catalunya and stretches to the old harbour.
During your walk, make a stop to Boqueria’s market, one of the largest and joyful market you will see, and enjoy all the fruits, vegetables, local artisans, etc.

During your walk across Las Ramblas, do not miss Paça Reial! Located on the left of the street, this place is the residence of one of master Gaudì’s first creation: two-floor lamps… very peculiar!

Finally, cap on Barri Gòtic, an ancient part of the city, where you will have the pleasure to discover charming little streets, local stores, artists workshops and the mesmerizing cathedral of Saint Eulalie and Santa Creu. We promise you a time travel you will not forget!

At the end of the day full of wonders, take the direction the area of Barceloneta, near the beach. There, enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the best seafood restaurants in the city. For those of you who appreciate nocturnal vibes, the evening could go on into one of the numerous bars along the sea…

Day 2 : Discover of Antoni Gaudì’s architecture

Are you ready to get your eyes full of magic ? Barcelona unravels treasures of architecture from the famous Antoni Gaudì. In several places through the city, we can see that exceptionally rich inheritance, starting with the renowned Sagrada Familia. The basilisk, under construction since 1882, is a must-see!

After your visit of the Sagrada Familia, continue your journey to the Park of Ciutadella, by foot or by subway. A smell of fresh air in the middle of the city where you will be able to simply walk around and tan under the sun.

Finally, end your day quietly in the Park Güell where you can stroll in the middle of fountains, arches and mosaics. The detail that makes all the difference? The breathtaking view on the city from one of the colourfull terraces.

Day 3 : The heart of Spanish life

For this third and last day, go on to explore El born district. To give you an idea of the vibe in those streets, we could tell you that El Born is to Barcelona what Montmartre is to Paris, what Soho is to London or what Prenzlauer Berg is to Berlin. This neighbourhood full of artists is one of the trendiest of the town, where you could stroll around paths bordered by churches, tapas’ bars and other restaurants. A mix of medieval and modernity that will seduce you.

After a delightful visit, direction the beach to spend an afternoon under the sun. Of course, at Ôdabaïa, we never forget where our priorities stand ! We will come back later on our bathing suits essentials for Barcelona, but first of all, let’s end this day on a Spanish touch.

For your last night here in Barcelona, take time to appreciate a wonderful dinner around a paëlla and a Flamenco show. An exciting evening ahead of you !

Chic and lay-back, Barcelona offers you the promise of an exceptional journey ! So now, let you be tempted…
